“I keep coming back to Freeman’s because it’s a friendly environment to learn to dance.”
“The classes are fun, and it’s a good way to meet new people. Any novice can walk in and learn – it’s broken down into simple steps.”
“I never thought I’d enjoy dancing as much as I what I currently do.
When I first started 5 years ago, it was very much outside of my comfort zone. However it helped me with coordination, increased my fitness, and was a great way to meet new people and establish friends for life. And, once I started to catch on and understand the dances, it boosted my confidence levels tenfold.
Once again, the patience and good spirit displayed by all of the dancers at Freeman’s Dance Studio helped my learning and made it enjoyable to share with such great people.”
“I’ve been dancing with Ron Freeman for just over a year now. I was new in town and walking down Ruthven Street when I passed the door to Freeman’s Dance Centre and decided to give it a go. I just wanted to learn how to Waltz – little did I know dancing at Freeman’s would introduce me to a whole new world.
Even if it is your first time, or you really do have two left feet, you won’t be judged – we were all in the same position once. Those of us who have been coming for a while enjoy helping teach those who are new.
I work as a doctor. My job is demanding of my time, and can be physically and emotionally exhausting. I’m training to become a specialist, which means I’ve had to move every two or three years for the past decade. It can be hard to make friends outside of work, as I’m sure it is for a lot of us in these busy times. Dancing at Freeman’s is a great opportunity to mix with all sorts of people – all ages and people from all walks of life come along and it’s a friendly and welcoming bunch. You don’t need to bring a partner – all dances are done progressive style, moving around in a circle from partner to partner.
Whether you want a fun way to socialise and get some exercise once or twice a week, private lessons for your wedding, or the challenge and achievement of earning medals, there’s something at Freeman’s for you.”
